We use Mountain Bikes to explore the Tarka Trail. The Tarka Trail is a cyclepath which runs from North Devon all the way down to Exeter in South Devon.
The Tarka Trail makes use of an old abandoned railway track which runs through some of the most beautiful scenery in England. It took its name from the 'Tarka the Otter' book whose characters lived in this area.
The stretch we use follows the banks of the River Torridge around Instow and Appledore. The going is mostly flat so should be fairly easy for people of mixed age groups and abilities.
